Why we're building social cards for Ghost
When you share a Ghost post, the preview uses the post's feature image. If a post doesn't have one, the link falls back to your site's default image, and every post looks the same in a feed.
Ghost writers have asked about this on the forum for years. Some don't use images at all. Others spend time in Canva for every post, just to get a decent preview.
Sharecard does one thing: when you publish, it renders a card with the post title, author and your logo, and sets it as the post's Facebook and X image. If you already set your own social image, it leaves it alone.
It's a small tool on purpose. Connect your site with an Admin API key, pick a layout and a colour, and publish as usual.
